Using sustainably sourced local woods and, when possible, trees from our clients’ own land in collaboration with New York Heartwoods , we transform raw materials into pieces that tell a story and resonate deeply with their owners.

Founded by Ashira Israel in 2025, Makers Accord reflects an evolution in both craftsmanship and sustainability. Ashira’s journey began in architecture school, where her love for woodworking emerged in the school’s shop. This passion first took shape through her work blending materials like wood, concrete, and metal in her initial company, Insek Design. Over time, as her interest in working with sustainably sourced materials grew, Ashira partnered with New York Heartwoods, deepening her commitment to environmentally conscious practices. Now, with Makers Accord, Ashira brings her journey full circle—crafting furniture that embodies a paradigm shift toward thoughtful, sustainable design, bridging the gap between art, functionality, and environmental responsibility.

Located in the bucolic setting of Accord, NY, our studio is surrounded by the very trees that inspire our work. Every piece we create is a collaborative effort, grounded in trust and a shared vision with our clients.
